Lot 887 Ben Crescent, Morayfield is a prime example of how HPS uses their Participant Led Project Conception process to deliver NDIS funded Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).

Our Participant Led Model commences with a brief from a participant or SDA Housing Provider that includes information on the participant’s requirements including the desired location, housing type and special design standards. 

This was a unique project for HPS as the participant and their family were involved in the land procurement process and ultimately made the final decision on the site location within the Moreton Bay Region which has solid demand for SDA housing.

HPS explored several options for the site and determined that the Highest and Best Use was a High Physical Support Duplex which would allow 1-2 participants per dwelling plus Onsite Overnight Accommodation (OOA).

Taking advantage of the large lot to produce a bespoke duplex design, the 600sqm site can home 4 participants and offers overnight accommodation for their support workers to provide around-the-clock care. The result was an exceptional fit-for-purpose home that incorporated a high level of physical access provision for people with significant physical impairment that require high levels of support.

Construction on the home was completed in August 2021.
